Jobs (we're based in South Wales, but location isn't an issue)

We're Ready To Believe You!

we are ready to belive you
You know that bit in Ghostbusters where Ray sells his family home and they buy the derelict fire station?
That's what Collision Games is like.
You should come and work here. We have free tea and a Smash TV arcade machine.

Programmer - £25k (FT but we also want awesome part-timers/students)

Can you program iOS games?
We are looking for a games progammer.
People often use the word developer or engineer.
If you use the word programmer you'll know why the distinction is important and you're probably the kind of person we want to talk to.
Send us an email, we'd love to hear from you at dan at collisiongames.co.uk

How we roll

We are angel funded but 'bootstrap' on our own revenue so making games that generate cash is our number 1 priority. We'd love to do it just for the love of games but love doesn't pay your mortage (the heartless mistress!). This means we like to specify and plan before we start churning out code. Hopefully, you like that approach too.

Agile
We use Agile to run our projects and believe that working code that can be played with and road tested is the way forward.

Academic
If you've got a science degree that's great but we prize working code or a demo as highly. So if you never went to University but are a great programmer that's good enough for us!

Wishlist
This is the minimum we're looking for, in order ;)
  1. At least one game demo, ideally on iOS
  2. Good C / C++ / Objective C (experience with Java nice to have)
  3. Awareness of social media integration (from an API POV)
  4. Passion for playing and making video games
Is this you? Send us an email, we'd love to hear from you at dan at collisiongames.co.uk

Artist - £25k+

We are looking for a talent artist (location isn't an issue).
This is a tricky one as the person writing this is a programmer and I'm not sure what words to use to describe who I'm looking for.
What I do know is I'm looking for someone who is passionate about art, games and might even think they are the same thing. You should also be good at drawing stuff I guess and ideally know how to save your files in a format suitable for stupid game developers who go blank when people say things like PSD.

Wishlist
This is the minimum we're looking for, in order ;)
  1. At least one game demo, ideally on iOS
  2. A website or presentation with all your "pretty drawings"
  3. Passion for playing and making video games
Ideally you see yourself as more than "the person that draws stuff" and want to drive the design of games too!
Send us an email, we'd love to hear from you at dan at collisiongames.co.uk
